We got to meet and spend some time with legendary photographer Jamel Shabazz in order to discuss his most important exhibit known as HONOR & DIGNITY. Jamel was asked by the Gordon Parks Foundation to do an exhibit and he based the theme on honor and dignity. Jamel revisited his extensive archives of photos and chose his most important photos that display people of color in the most dignified way. We also visited the opening night of the exhibit. Jamel talked about his career as a photographer and the responsibility as a photographer. We also discussed the process of choosing the right photos for this exhibit as well as the importance of each photo.
